Jastrowie Flag

Jastrowie (German: Jastrow) is a town in Poland of over 9,000 inhabitant is where our family originated.

During the WW2 the Jastrow family name was changed to Jaster for documenting purposes. It also had to be changed because our name was Polish and part Jewish; which were two ethnicities being killed off during the genocide.

Fun Fact: Four people managed to escape ashwitz in WW2 by dressing up in guard uniforms and stealing a nazi car; one of those people was Stanislaw Gustaw Jaster. If he did not escape, my family and I would not exist today!

Minecraft Escher Waterfall Project Day 3

HALF WAY MARK END OF THE DAY
Today I used raised blocks on the corners of the river to place red stone touches. I also added a bit more decor onto my map. It
would be nice to figure out how
to turn the rain off.

While placing the Redstone down and the repeaters I’ve learnt that you can only place 15 Redstone at a time. By separating them with repeaters I was able to complete the chain but have noticed a delay between them. The circuit is complete but terribly out of time. Next class I will focus on the timing and then wrap this project up.

Minecraft Escher Waterfall Project Day 2

HALF WAY MARK END OF THE DAY
I've connected together the water and separated it by a pillar to make it appear never ending. I've also added in some lighting to give it a more realistic affect that it is one piece.

Here I've added the train tracks onto my waterfall and improved the lighting with torches. I've also come to realize that the power rails need a switch or Redstone torch to turn the on. Next class I plan to figure out how I will incorporate that. The decoration and focal point has also changed a bit; my object is so large, I was having difficulties lining up the ground rail to the sky.

Minecraft Escher Waterfall Project Day 1

HALF WAY MARK END OF THE DAY
In the first image I have the basic waterfall shape and a few decor in place.

The second image to the left shows the illusion piece - circled in red...(Half of it is on block layer one, the second half is on block layer 4 or 5). I also added much more decor and filled in the water in some places.
